Josh Ritter: Josh Ritter is as much a touring sensation as he is a rising folk rocker. The Idaho native self-released his debut album in 1998 and sold copies of the disc out of his trunk. He soon moved to Scotland to attend the School of Scottish Folk Studies and he developed his own major at Oberlin College which he called "American History Through Narrative Folk Music". An eclectic mix of folk-rock and storytelling best describes this up-and-coming musician who is currently on tour. Upon returning back to the States, Ritter released his sophomore album, Golden Age of Radio, in 2000 and was soon signed to the Signature Sounds label. Josh Ritter tour dates were booked persistently on both sides of the Atlantic before he released his breakthrough album, Hello Starling, in 2003. The album debuted at #2 on the Irish albums chart and Josh Ritter tour dates were booked on a headlining solo tour.

Ritter released, The Animal Years, in 2006 and was hailed by Paste magazine as one of the "100 Greatest Living Songwriters". Author Stephen King hailed the album as the best disc of 2006 and Ritter booked performances on Late Night with David Letterman. The album was reissued in 2011 and Josh Ritter tour dates were booked internationally to promote the effort. As one of the brightest stars in Neo-Folk, Josh Ritter is a rare and eclectic performer who combines vivid writing with an acoustic flare.
