Wiz Khalifa: Rap's newest prodigy has produced three top twenty Billboard Hot Rap tracks over the past few years and has recorded dozens of collaborations with hip-hop royalty. However, it was with his single "Black and Yellow," an homage to his hometown of Pittsburgh, that Wiz Khalifah became a rap heavyweight. Since that time, the rapper has continued to chart success with each song released and become one of the genre's biggest stars.

Wiz Khalifa, whose real name is Cameron Jibril Thomas, was born into a military family that travelled around until finally settling in Pittsburgh. His stage name refers to his ability to be a "whiz" at everything he does and Khalifa means "successor" in Arabic. The rapper broke onto Billboard's Hot Rap tracks with "Say Yeah," in 2007 which peaked at #20. His 2010 single, "Black and Yellow", hit #1 on Billboard's Hot 100 and Hot Rap track surveys and sold over 2.3 million digital copies. It was just a precursor to the album, Rolling Papers, released March 29, 2011 and featuring the hits, "Black and Yellow," and the singles "On My Level" and "Roll Up," both of which charted on the US Hot 100 survey.

The momentum didn't stop when Wiz released his second album, O.N.I.F.C. in 2012. Once again, his album shot to second on the Billboard 200, and the single "Work Hard, Play Hard" went double platinum. After the album's release, Khalifa took time off with his new wife, Amber Rose, and their newborn son. However, less than a year later, he was back in the studio working on his latest album, Blacc Hollywood, and cementing his status as one of the leading rappers in the US.
